About INCOM
INCOM Company Ltd., headquartered in Tokyo Japan, is a joint venture with Thomas Publishing Company in the USA (https://www.thomaspublishing.com/), recently acquired by Xometry (https://www.xometry.com).
Established in 1972, INCOM has been serving Japanese manufacturing world as providing product, service, and suppliers information at the website, email newsletters and print publication.
When Toshio Suzuki started IEN-Japan in 1973, the first industrial product magazine in Japan, the Japanese engineers didn’t have easy way to find the information for products they needed except some catalogs sent by suppliers or got in the trade shows they visited. Packed by full of product information and sent to their office directly without any charge, IEN-Japan was highly valued among Japanese engineers. It was ordinary sight that a pack of engineers surrounded IEN counter in trade show sites to get a copy and subscription form. Turning eyes to product suppliers, they found IEN-Japan as effective sales promotion magazine because they could get many precious sales inquiries from the readers using IEN-Japan response cards. INCOM intermediated business transactions between buyers and suppliers.
Times passed. Today we have the Internet. INCOM has shifted its information providing tools to online media along with print publication. As Times go by and technology would keep changing the information flow. However nothing has changed in the spirit of engineers, pursuing creation and innovation. To provide them the information at the right time and the right way, INCOM would change the way for serving information but never the mission, INCOM dedicates to manufacturing business world with providing product, service and supplier information to engineers.
